Team training and matches will be taken by an FA qualified coach which are CRB Checked by the FA. Some teams may have an assistant who may step in on these occasions though. Team managers will keep parents informed of plans for team training / matches etc.

Minimum of FA Level 1 Qualified managers will take teams for match days.

All our coaches at the club will have a minimum of the following:
FA Level 1 coaching certificate
FA Criminal Records Check
FA Safeguarding Children
FA emergency aid

Before you start to criticise your child's manager please remember that this is not there profession!!! they are a volunteer and are giving up their time for FREE to give your child an opportunity to play in a team. Most of the managers have all played high level football in their youth but coaching children is completely different and running a team takes a lot of time and effort behind the scenes so please be patient and show your support and gratitude to them!!!!

If you don't like what you see then Volunteer to take a team yourself as we always have more kids wanting to be in teams each season.

Remaining in the team and moaning spoiling the atmosphere for the rest of the kids and parents is NOT an option!!! If you are unhappy with your child's team speak with us and we will support you in finding a new team for your child.

Instead of criticising the managers offer to help them out to share the burden of running a team. Remember your subs pay for the teams pitch fees NOT the managers wage!!!
If managers, parents and players are all pulling together as a team then it will be a much better experience for all!!!

Code Of Conduct For Parents:
We adopt the FA respect program at the Revolution Football Club. Their will be a zero tolerance code of conduct implemented with parents and disciplinary action taken against anyone who steps out of line. Children are their to have fun and enjoy their football and parents who have any negative influence on the sidelines will not be welcome to attend.

Let The Children Play
Keep this in mind, please do not forget
They are only children, they're not adults yet!

Our Coaching Philosophy
FUN, DEVELOPMENT AND LEARNING is more important than WINNING!!!

Children who play in a relaxed atmosphere will feel free to take more risks trying skills, passing it out from the back etc without the fear of costing their team points in a league or being shouted at by a parent. The FA have made U7 to U11 football Non Competitive to help create this atmosphere. We have seen hundreds of creative talented footballers come through our ranks who dare to try skills and be a game changer have had their creativity dashed because of an over excited parent obsessed with winning telling them to play it simple, Get rid of it or shouting at them for costing the team a goal etc. All that parents achieves is destroying that kids confidence to try something creative, they then go into their shell and try to hide in a game because of the fear of making mistakes and letting people down. Children who are allowed to learn from their their own mistakes become more creative and composed footballers in teen through to adult years. This philosophy has been proven to work and we ask all parents to adopt this relaxed approach to help the children develop.

Rules for Parents
Stay outside the fence line or behind respect barriers at all times during training and matches
Remember children play for FUN!!!!
Respect referees decisions at all times
NEVER criticise any of the players / managers decisions
Don't coach from side lines shouting pass, shoot, get rid etc, this only confuses the children and stops them developing their own decision making on the pitch.
If you want to reward them reward hard work, team ethic or good decisions
Let the manager do the coaching on match days - remember you are a parent their to support the team not to coach it.
Remember the manager on weekends in most cases is a volunteer who has put their name forward to give your child the opportunity to play in a team.
Don't become obsessed with Professional Club academies and put your child under pressure to make it as a pro!!!!!!
We operate a zero tolerance policy and any parents who become over pushy, jealous, abusive or start to tittle tattle on the side lines will be asked to leave the team and program with immediate effect regardless of how talented your child is so please don't spoil it for them!!!

Referees will be issuing yellow and red cards to spectators as they see fit.

DBS Checks
All managers / Asst managers must have a CRC check in place to be named as an official within the team. We will issue regular posts on facebook 3 to 4 times a year with the updated list of our volunteer helpers with there CRC expiry dates so you know all persons connected are in date. Volunteers may be called out to work / have family commitments sometimes so other parents can stand in as one offs to cover the manager if he is away without having to do a CRC check but anyone who is recognised as a regular helper / coach / asst manager to the kids MUST complete a CRC check before becoming an official regular.

How to sign your child onto a team
Your childs team manager or secretary will forward info about signing on for the team as all new children will need a FA profile setting up

Before starting in the league all parents will need to agree to all of the above and ensure you educate all family members attending the games on our club philosophy and code of conduct
